My dad's 125 Zundapp American Eagle with SRA numbers. He's with leather sleeves early 1972; w/o sleeves May 7, 1972. Desert size fiberglass American Eagle tank, Curnutt shocks, Bassani up-pipe, Uvex goggles, lineman's boots, Bates leathers, Preston Petty fenders, home-made skid plate and side plate, and Bell helmet. We weren't wearing visors yet, but I don't remember why.

Beginning towards the end of 1971, my dad tasked me to help him set up another Eagle for desert, for "a friend of his". On Saturday night January 22, 1972, we took both bikes out to Salton City for camping, and to deliver the "friend's" bike.
Morning comes early, and my dad says, "Go out and get 'your bike' off the trailer."
"Huh?', I grunted.
His response, "You didn't think I'd have you do all that work for someone else, did you?"
